NOTICE OF A PUBLIC MEETING
Concerning the Highway 17 Planning Study (Mattawa Bypass)
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Papineau-Cameron will hold a Public Meeting on the 30th day of September, 2014, at 7:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers, Municipal Office, 4861 Highway # 17 in order to consider Highway 17 realignment options.
Purpose: The Ministry of Transportation is undertaking a design and Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) Study for the future four-laning of Highway17 from 8.0 km east of Highway 630 to the Nipissing District/Renfrew County boundary, a distance of approximately 35.4 km. Council has evaluated the Ministry’s options and seeks public comments on the alternative realignment options Council is considering for each of the four sections within the study area. A Highway 17 Planning Study report setting out the Township’s updated options for the Bypass is available for viewing on the Township website www.papineaucameron.ca . The purpose of the meeting will be to present the updated options Council is considering and to receive public comments and input.
ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of or in opposition to the proposed realignment options being considered by the Township of Papineau-Cameron.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION on the Highway 17 Planning Study including a copy of the Township consultant’s report is available for viewing during regular office hours at the municipal office.
